Use of load measuring systems in explosion-proof areas:
All sensors manufactured by Dinacell are manufactured according to the IP 64 standard. As a rule, these sensors can be installed in explosion-proof areas, since the sensors as a measuring bridge only fulfill passive tasks. However, the monitoring of the current flow is required. Controlling and regulating the flowing currents prevents uncontrolled heating from occurring. Between the sensors and the evaluation unit barriers of steel company are switched, which take over this task. For these barriers, the corresponding ATEX certificates from Stahl are provided to document the function. The evaluation unit, which performs all switching functions, is mounted in the engine room, which is not in the explosion-proof area. Evaluation unit and barriers are compactly mounted in a splash-proof housing. The input filter of the evaluation unit is matched to the function of the barriers and prewired. Only the connection of the sensors takes place on site. When selecting the sensors, make sure that the connecting cables are max. Are 2.0 meters long. If necessary, use pressure-encapsulated enclosures, which are not included in the scope of delivery.
